What are MCTs and C8 MCT?
Medium chain triglycerides (MCT) are fats with a chemical structure that can be easily digested by the body.

C-8 MCT is the specific MCT that is the most efficient and gets converted fastest into ketones. Therefore, it provides a larger number of ketones, which are also faster than other MCTs. By measurement, the typical increase in blood ketones is 0.5 mmol with 1 tablespoon C-8 MCT within ~15 minutes. Please note: Bulletproof Brain Octane Oil is made from the same C8 MCT.
