About the Artwork
Ohara Koson (1877-1945) was one of the most prolific shin-hanga artists, creating over 500 woodblock prints of birds, flowers, and animals. His water lily prints are among his most serene compositions -- simple subjects rendered with extraordinary attention to tone and shadow. Unlike Western Impressionist water lilies, Koson's version uses clean lines and flat areas of color, drawing from centuries of Japanese artistic tradition. His work bridges traditional ukiyo-e printmaking and modern Japanese art.
Who Is This For
Japanese art enthusiasts, nature lovers, and anyone who finds beauty in simplicity. The clean composition and soft colors make this bag an easy match for any wardrobe -- understated but full of character.
