Comfort & Construction Details

The generously padded perimeter provides a softer interaction around the bed while maintaining the substantial sculptural appearance shown in the design.

The internal structure should combine high-density foam with a softer outer fiber layer, allowing the frame to retain its rounded profile without becoming excessively rigid.

Customization

SORA can be customized in upholstery color, fabric type, wood species, veneer direction, wood stain, overall dimensions, mattress size and firmness of the upholstered perimeter.

The design can also be manufactured with or without under-bed storage.

Product Story

SORA explores the contrast between softness and structure. Its oversized upholstered frame creates an almost inflated architectural form around the sleeping surface, while the continuous timber cylinder introduces a precise horizontal element.

Instead of using a traditional flat headboard, SORA transforms the headboard into a sculptural object—giving the bed a distinctive identity from the front, side and rear.
