FlexGlass vs traditional tempered glass?
Tempered glass is hard but brittle — cracks once and is done. FlexGlass uses a hybrid layer of glass and flexible polymer — bends slightly on impact to absorb energy, then returns to flat. Survives multiple drops where standard glass would have cracked.
How does it compare to Spigen GLAS.tR or TORRAS GlassGo?
Spigen and TORRAS use hardened tempered glass (alumina silicate variants). Tech21 uses a different approach — the hybrid polymer-glass material. Spigen/TORRAS edge out for hardness/scratch resistance; Tech21 edges out for multi-drop durability. Pick FlexGlass if you've broken protectors before; tempered glass for max scratch resistance.
Will it dim the screen?
No — optically clear hybrid material preserves brightness, colour accuracy, and 120Hz ProMotion responsiveness. The screen looks essentially identical with the protector installed.
Does Face ID still work?
Yes — cutouts for the Dynamic Island and sensor area. Face ID, Auto Brightness, and proximity sensors all work normally.
What if it cracks?
Unlike pure tempered glass that cracks completely, FlexGlass tends to absorb impact in the polymer layer first — you may see a glass micro-fracture without the protector falling apart. Replace when visibly damaged. The protector did its job.
