Before "The Starry Night," there was this one -- Van Gogh standing on the banks of the Rhone at night, painting gaslight and starlight reflected in dark water. It is quieter than its famous sibling but just as powerful. This tote bag carries that nighttime glow on cotton canvas.

About the Artwork
"Starry Night Over the Rhone" was painted in September 1888 in Arles. Van Gogh set up his easel on the riverbank at night, using gas lamps and moonlight to work. The painting shows the Big Dipper reflected in the water, two figures walking along the shore, and the lights of the town stretched along the horizon. It was his first major painting of a night sky and helped him develop the techniques he would use later in "The Starry Night."
Who Is This For
Night sky lovers, Van Gogh completists, and anyone who prefers the original to the sequel. The deep blues and golden highlights work beautifully against dark clothing, making this bag a year-round favorite.
