Van Gogh White Rose - Artsy Tote Bag

Van Gogh painted roses in the garden of the Saint-Remy asylum, just days before leaving for Auvers. The white roses are softer and calmer than his more famous works -- thick petals rendered in creamy whites and pale greens. This tote carries that quiet beauty on sturdy cotton canvas.

  • Sturdy metal zippers on interior and exterior pockets
  • Multiple compartments, key holder, and drink holder
  • Reinforced 'X' stitching on both straps
  • 36 x 10 x 36 cm -- holds a 16-inch MacBook Pro
  • Weighs just 350g

About the Artwork

In May 1890, Van Gogh painted four large canvases of roses in the asylum garden at Saint-Paul-de-Mausole. The white rose paintings have a gentleness unusual in his work -- the brushstrokes are still visible but more controlled, and the color palette is restrained. The white petals were originally pink but faded over time due to the unstable red pigment Van Gogh used. What remains is a composition of whites, greens, and pale yellows that feels fresh and modern.

Who Is This For

Fans of neutral palettes, rose enthusiasts, and those who prefer the quieter side of Van Gogh. The white and green tones make this bag easy to style with light-colored outfits, especially during warmer months in Egypt.
