About the Artwork

"Woman with a Parasol" was painted in 1875, outdoors in a single session. Monet worked fast, trying to capture the exact quality of sunlight filtering through the parasol and the movement of wind across the grass. Camille and young Jean are both slightly turned away from the viewer, giving the scene a candid, snapshot-like feel decades before photography could achieve the same thing.

Who Is This For

Fans of Impressionist portraiture, romantic art, and breezy summer aesthetics. This limited artsy edition pairs well with a linen outfit and a sunny day along the Mediterranean coast -- or the Red Sea, for that matter.
